Meet the instructor

Joan W. Pruden

Joan is a professional freelance photographer who has worked for news outlets, marketing agencies, and her own photography business since 2015. She loves to use her photography skills in service to the Lord and has been teaching young photographers how to do the same since 2017.

Joan has enjoyed homeschooling her own two children for almost a decade! Along the way, she has developed her approach as a photography instructor through teaching children ages 5 and up at various homeschool co-ops and local nature centers. Her students have won more photography awards than she ever will - and she aims to keep it that way!
