How long do I have access to the videos?

When you purchase a MasterBooksAcademy.com course, you will have access to that course for 18 months from the date of purchase.

What system requirements are needed to stream the lessons?

You will need the following in order to easily stream lessons:

Mac requirements: MacOS "Big Sur" or later
Linux requirements: 64-bit, Ubuntu 20.04+, Debian 10+, openSUSE 15.4+, or Fedora Linux 35+

Is this a monthly or yearly fee? 

Your one-time purchase gives you access to the course for 18 months.  There is no monthly fee.

Are the courses live or self-paced? 

The courses are pre-recorded making it easy for your student to learn at their own pace.

How do I print materials for stand alone courses? 

You have two options for printing the included course materials. You can either print everything from the Before You Begin section or print materials as you move through the course. The Before You Begin section will include a PDF file complete with binder cover page, table of contents, lessons, answer key, etc., that makes it easy to organize all of your papers into one binder. If you prefer to print as you go, each lesson's materials can also be found and easily printed as you move through the learning path.

Can multiple students use the same videos? 

Yes! You may share the course with immediate family in your household.

I can't get the videos to play. How do I fix this?

If you are having trouble getting the videos to play, many times there is an issue in Safari. If on apple, You have to turn off the “request desktop website“ setting. Once you do that, you should be able watch the videos in the Academy.If you tap the two A’s to the left of the website address in Safari on your iPad, a box will pop up. Then you tap "website settings" so that you can turn off “Request Desktop Website.” If you have any type of filters or parental controls set, you will need to change them to always allow Master Books Academy to play. 

Can I replay the videos? 

Yes! Videos can be replayed as often as you would like within the 18 months following your purchase.

Can the students do the videos at their own pace? 

Yes! The pre-recorded videos allow the student 18 months to complete the course.

Where can I watch the free lessons? 

Select your course of interest at MasterBooksAcademy.com, then scroll past the course description to the free lesson(s) provided.

Will the online instructor grade the assignments? 

No. The online instructor provides pre-recorded lessons and does not have one-to-one interaction with your student.

Do I still need to buy the books? 

Each course will indicate the books and/or supplies needed to complete the course.

Are there any course options for adults/parents? 

Many of our homeschooling parents enjoy taking the Master Books high school level or stand alone courses. You can easily find these by clicking on the "high school" or "electives" search buttons from the drop down menu. 

Where can I find a list of upcoming courses? 

Upcoming courses are listed in our education catalogs. More will be added throughout the year and announced in one of our emails and on social media.

How are the DVDs different than the Academy classes? 

In some cases, the Academy course is replacing the DVD. In other cases, it is brand new content. There are samples of each online.

Do you offer a group discount for courses being used in a co-op setting?  

No. In a classroom setting (public, private, or co-op), materials must be purchased for each student. Material may not be posted online, distributed digitally, or made available as a download.

Does my student need their own account?

You may choose to set up an individual account for your student or have one account that your family shares. However, please note that while family members may share classes, only one account per purchase can be enrolled in any class.

Do you offer refunds?

No. Courses are non-refundable and non-transferable.
